The Azerbaijan Tourism Board organized a familiarization trip for 27 representatives of tourism agencies from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman.

During their visit, the delegation explored Baku’s top tourist attractions and visited the Shahdag Mountain Resort, where they were introduced to Azerbaijan’s winter tourism offerings and the services available at the ski resort.

As part of the trip, B2B (business-to-business) meetings were held with around 45 local companies to establish and strengthen bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijani and Gulf tourism businesses.

In the first 11 months of 2024, a total of 244,511 visitors from the Middle East traveled to Azerbaijan, marking a 17% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
